THE UNIVERSITY & CAREER ADVANTAGE

John-Claude Ojo-Adegboye - BAE Systems intern, school captain and undergraduate engineering student - is the embodiment of STL’s commitment to shaping exceptional student futures. As the lead careers advisor, John’s role is to support students’ aspirations, finding them opportunities, helping with applications and making every route accessible for our students.

  • STL provides the insider's edge for university success. We don't just advise on the macro-scale prospects of specific degrees; we provide meticulous, micro-level support, perfecting personal statements to ensure your child stands out and secures those highly competitive places.

  • Leveraging our extensive network STL meticulously searches beyond common grants. We specialize in identifying often-missed niche scholarships that perfectly match your child's eligibility and achievements, providing the strategic funding advantage needed to secure their future without financial barriers.

  • While traditional education often overlooks degree apprenticeships, treating them as a secondary option, STL recognizes they are a powerful, debt-free pathway to a top career for the right student. Many schools simply don't put enough emphasis on the incredible value these roles offer—combining university-level study with full-time paid work experience. Our priority is to thoroughly explore all viable pathways, ensuring every student understands the potential of degree apprenticeships and can confidently discuss them as a primary option for their future.

  • Too often, high-impact work experience remains an opaque challenge for Year 11 and 12 students. STL cuts through the complexity. We provide dedicated support for applications to prestigious roles within large finance, engineering, and tech companies, giving your child the essential real-world exposure and an early competitive edge that simply can't be taught in a classroom.
